Middle School: DOs & DON'Ts

This 4-week course is designed for all middle school grades to build and test their independence. We'll meet once per week (in-person or live stream option) on MONDAY evenings at 7:30 pm EST. LIVE sessions will run for an hour as we prep our students for the world of middle school responsibilities. Each session will address a unique topic, so if you have to miss, you won’t be left behind! Kids will have the opportunity to work with middle school peers and older students to build their social skills.
Our students will get out of their comfort zone and be prepped in these 4 areas during our LIVE LESSONS:
1. Middle School Expectations: Study Habits
2. Teacher Communications and Self- Advocacy
3. Relations: bonding & breaking friendships
4. Self-Identity & Building Confidence
Sessions are held in our Newtown office for 1 hour and promptly start at 7:30 pm EST. The course runs every MONDAY from 7/15-8/5/24. Each session will cover a unique topic, so if you miss a week, you’ll start fresh in the next session. In the event of an instructor’s emergent cancellation, the course will be extended one week beyond the scheduled run-time to ensure 4-sessions are provided. All purchases are final.

High School Survival Guide:

This 4-week course is designed for high schoolers (grades 9-11) to build and test their independence. We'll meet once per week (in-person or live stream option) on TUESDAY evenings at 7:30 pm EST. LIVE sessions will run for an hour as we prep our students for the transition into 9th, 10th or 11th grade. Each session will address a unique topic, so if you have to miss, you will not be left behind! Teens will have the opportunity to work with peers and build their social skills.
Our students will get out of their comfort zone and be prepped in these 4 areas during our LIVE LESSONS:
1. High School Expectations: Study Habits
2. Teacher Communications & Self- Advocacy as a Young Adult
3. Relationships: Setting & Maintaining Boundaries with Peers
4. Self-Identity, Building Confidence & Setting an Example

Each session will cover a unique topic, so if you miss a week, you’ll start fresh in the next session. The UNDECIDED: Considering College
SIGN-UPS CLOSED FOR THIS COURSE
This 4-week course is designed for students thinking about college (must be 16 years+) or those who are college bound. It is an exploratory program designed for students who are unsure about college or are unclear about their major (AKA “undecided”). Students will encounter the truth about college as we debunk myths and explore various paths chosen by guest speakers- including those in the trades field. We'll meet once per week (in-person or live stream option) on WEDNESDAY evenings at 7:30 pm EST. LIVE sessions will run for an hour as we explore endless opportunities. Each session will address a unique topic, so if you have to miss, you will not be left behind!
Our participants will get out of their comfort zone and be prepped in these 4 areas during our LIVE LESSONS:
1. Self-Identity, Intentions & Social Pressure
2. Work Ethic: The Reality of Building a Future
3. Try It: Exploring Fields and “Doing”
4. Pivoting & Accepting New Paths

Team Building Day
Students who successfully complete any course will be eligible to join us at Six Flags Great Adventure at the end of the Summer (tentatively on Saturday 9/7/24). Students will be in small groups and given tasks revolving around the skills learned in their course. Students who wish to participate will be responsible for transportation. Group ticketing will be provided through Let's Learn Tutoring and is a separate purchase from their course. Team Building Day includes a t-shirt, park admission and a meal. All purchases are final.
