HS Freshmen: SURVIVAL GUIDE

Service Description

This 4-week course is designed for incoming high schoolers to build and test their independence. We'll meet once per week (LIVE virtually or In-person) on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm EST. LIVE sessions will run for an hour as we prep our students for the transition to 9th grade. Each session will address a unique topic, so if you have to miss, you will not be left behind! Teens will have the opportunity to work with other incoming freshmen and build their social skills. Our students will get out of their comfort zone and be prepped in these 4 areas during our LIVE LESSONS: 1. High School Expectations: Study Habits 2. Teacher Communications and Self- Advocacy as a Young Adult 3. Relationships: Setting & Maintaining Boundaries with Peers 4. Self-Identity, Building Confidence & Setting an Example * FOUR LIVE LESSONS, one held at 7 pm EST on each WEDNESDAY 7/12-8/2/23* Students who successfully complete this course will be eligible to join us at Six Flags Great Adventure at the end of August. Students will be in small groups and given tasks revolving around the skills learned in HS Freshman: Survival Guide LIVE VIRTUAL. Students who wish to participate will be responsible for transportation. Group ticketing will be provided through Let'sLearn Tutoring and is a separate fee from this prep course program.
